#TBT to when I made my own flyers for my writing classes and this was back when there was no photoshop. So I had to scan all those book covers and size them manually!
I was twelve when Tibor Gergely drew me, in his studio on Lexington Avenue in NYC, lost in my favorite activity. Now, decades later, I get to go back to my home and read from the book I wrote. Words can’t describe the joy and excitement in my heart today.
Oh how I love this! A great image and message for a writer (like me) with a recently published book. I’m sure this applies to many others of us, too, writers or not. Let’s tell ourselves to keep up the good work, all of us. The size of our audience doesn’t matter. Look at the rapt expression on that kitty’s face….

I was honored to lead a very special group of magnificent, honest, deep writers at the at Pepper Tree Retreat in Ojai.
Thank you Ladies- You carved out the time to tell us about the worlds within you, wrote your hearts out, shared your stories, braved the rain, ate (and ate), did yoga, took walks, talked (and talked) and laughed.
By the end of our magical weekend we’d had a joyous, intense, magnificent time – thanks to all of you great writers!
